At “Kagami-numa” in Hachimantai, the snow covering the pond and the meltwater create a mysterious landscape resembling a dragon’s eye. The pond was given this name because it quietly reflects the surrounding beautiful scenery, much like a mirror.
The “Dragon’s Eye,” which “appears if you’re lucky” from late May to early June, is attracting attention as a new tourist attraction in Hachimantai.
